The Moose Hub – Re-design
The Moose Hub is a site which I helped to re-design on behalf of it’s owner, Nicole Croker. Originally a personal blog about all things Eco-friendly worldwide and in the Highlands, Nicole is now opening a retail version of the Moose Hub in Bowral and wanted to transition the site from it’s blog like state, to a more professional looking website, one that would reflect her new business model & venture, whilst retaining the look and feel of the original site. With the brief in hand, the site was tidied up, new fonts chosen, a new header created, background colours changed, social media links added, Mailchimp newsletter integration added as well as optimizing the site for better search engine placement. Bundanoon Garden Club had been discussing having a website built for their group for some time and after several unsuccessful attempts, they contacted Fat Wombat Designs to proceed with their site. After initial consultations and briefings, a site was built to their specifications, namely, simple, elegant and easily navigated. As many members of their organisation are elderly, the site was to be easy to read, not confusing in its layout and not too modern so that those reliant on older computers and browsers would be unable to see it.
